Just down a quiet, leafy London street on the edge of magnificent Hyde Park, not far from Paddington and the West End, is London's latest minimalist boutique hotel – La Suite West. Set into a long row of nineteenth century Victorian townhouses, the hotel takes the shape of a stark temple of black and white, where clean lines meet sharp angles and sculptural forms. A corridor of inky-black marble floors leads guests up to an unusually long white marble reception desk – more of an art piece than anything else. Swaths of black and white follow guests inside each room, where dark, individually crafted, four-poster beds and black rubber chairs set off whitewashed rooms and airy marble bathrooms. An infusion of Asian details, such as the thick, black, wood shutters in each room, add depth and a touch of zen to the hotel’s minimalist design.

In the restaurant, head chef Marcello Kaminski has created a menu as clean as the hotel’s architecture and design, incorporating some unique dishes from Natasha Corrett of Honestly Healthy. Some of these dishes contain alkalizing ingredients that balance the components of the typically acidic Western diet. Guests also have the opportunity to enjoy La Suite West's landscaped private terrace.

La Suite West is located in Bayswater - on the edge of London's magnificent Hyde Park.
