Description
The arte Hotel Wien was reopened in the summer of 2017 and is located directly at the Wiener Stadthalle event center in Vienna, as well as next to a popular entertainment and shopping center. The hotel was originally built in 1992 and was known until recently as the "Atlantis Hotel Vienna". As a four-star hotel, you can look forward to a 24-hour bar, 24-hour reception, excellent breakfast and good free wireless internet throughout the hotel. Parking is available in a car park connected to the hotel.
Rooms
The harmonious and broad equipment of the quiet and top modern POP rooms, includes hardwood floor, mini-bar fridge, flat screen with cable TV, free WiFi, safe, LED reading lamp and individually controlled air condition. These give the room a special atmosphere.
Food
The breakfast team is glad to welcome you from Monday to Friday 6:30 to 10:30 am. In the comfortable breakfast room you'll find a buffet where you won't miss anything. Leisure
The "Wiener Stadthalle" is located near the arte Hotel Vienna - only a 2-minute walk away.
The "Stadthalle Wien" has several venues, as well as sports halls and multi-purpose halls and is one of the most famous event locations in Austria.
Location & Directions
On Foot: When you leave the railway station Westbahnhof turn left and walk along the Neubaugürtel to the Gablenzgasse. Then turn left into the Gablenzgasse and then take the first street left into the Wurzbachgasse (building shopping centre Lugner City). The entrance of the hotel is in Wurzbachgasse 17. This is roughly a 10-minute walk.
From the underground, with the U6 towards Floridsdorf 1 station to Burggasse/Stadthalle. At the exit Burggasse turn left into the Gablenzgasse and after one block (about 50m) turn left into the first street - the Wurzbachgasse (building shopping centre Lugner City). The entrance of the hotel is in Wurzbachgasse 17. The journey takes around 2 minutes.
Südtirolerplatz: Tram line 18 towards Burggasse/Stadthalle, past the railway station Westbahnhof to the Urban Loritz Platz (terminus). Then walk along the Hütteldorferstraße Street and at the first street turn right. Then you are situated in the Wurzbachgasse. Walk up the street as far as our hotel (which is situated on the left side). We have two entrances - please use the 2nd entrance in Wurzbachgasse 17. You'll find the hotel reception there.
Railway Station Wien-Meidling: With the U6 towards Floridsdorf 1 station to Burggasse/Stadthalle. At the exit Burggasse turn left into the Gablenzgasse and after one block (about 50m) turn left into the first street - the Wurzbachgasse (building shopping centre Lugner City). The entrance of the hotel is in Wurzbachgasse 17.
Westautobahn (A1): Towards the centre (past the castle Schönbrunn) to the Gürtel; turn left and drive along the Gürtel (Margareten- Gumpendorfer- Mariahilfer- Neubau- Lerchenfelder Gürtel) past the railway station Westbahnhof to the crossroads Gürtel/Neustiftgasse. Turn left at this crossroads and then left again. You are now on the opposite carriageway of the Gürtel; after the first traffic light turn right into the LUGNER garage (public garage). If you choose a parking lot on the right side after the barrier, you are only a few steps away from the entrance of the hotel. Parking costs €15 for 24 hours.
Südautobahn (A2): Towards centre, exit Triester Straße; drive as far as Margaretengürtel; at the Matzleinsdorferplatz turn left into the Gürtel; then drive along the Gürtel (Margareten-Gumpendorfer-Mariahilfer-Neubau-Lerchenfelder Gürtel) past the railway station Westbahnhof to the crossroads Gürtel/Neustiftgasse. Turn left at this crossroads and then left again. You are now on the opposite carriageway of the Gürtel; after the first traffic light turn right into the LUGNER garage (public garage). Northern part of Lower Austria (Weinviertel, Waldviertel)- From the motorway A 22, coming over the Nordbrücke (northern bridge), you first drive towards Zentrum/Gürtel, then you take the exit Gürtel; follow the Gürtel to the Lerchenfelder Gürtel (notice the blue sign „arte Hotel Wien“ at the roadside). Then turn right into the LUGNER garage (public garage). If you choose a parking lot on the right side after the barrier, you are only a few steps away from the entrance of the hotel. Parking costs €15 for 24 hours.
From the Airport:
A taxi costs about € 45 - to € 60.
The bus of the Vienna Airport Lines costs about € 9 per person. Take the bus to Wien Westbahnhof, then change to the underground line U6 (costs € 2,40 per person). Take the U6 towards Floridsdorf to the station Burggasse/Stadthalle. At the exit Burggasse turn left into the Gablenzgasse and after one block (about 50m) turn left into the first street - the Wurzbachgasse (building shopping centre Lugner City). Take the suburban railway to Landstraße – Wien Mitte; the whole journey to the hotel costs about € 4,40 per person (buy a 2-zone ticket). Then take the underground line U3 towards Ottakring to the station Westbahnhof. There you take the underground line U6 towards Floridsdorf to the station Burggasse/Stadthalle. At the exit Gablenzgasse/Burggasse turn left into the Gablenzgasse and after one block (about 50m) turn left into the first street - the Wurzbachgasse (building shopping centre Lugner City). Take the CAT train (City Airport Train) to the station Landstraße – Wien Mitte, which costs € 11,00 per person. Then take the underground line U3 towards Ottakring to the station Westbahnhof (costs about € 2,40 per person), where you change for the underground line U6 towards Floridsdorf to the station Burggasse/Stadthalle. At the exit Burggasse turn left into the Gablenzgasse and after one block (about 50m) turn left into the first street - the Wurzbachgasse (building shopping centre Lugner City).
