Capital One Arena is an indoor arena in Washington, D.C.. Located in the Penn Quarter neighborhood, the arena sits atop the Gallery Place rapid transit station of the Washington Metro.

Capital One Arena is home to the NBA’s Washington Wizards, the NHL’s 2018 Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals, and the NCAA’s Georgetown Hoyas men’s basketball team. Boasting an average of 220 events per year, Capital One Arena is the heart of an $9.2 billion redevelopment that began 22 years ago when the arena was built and opened on Dec. 2, 1997. Since then the privately financed arena has hosted 47 million people and more than 4,500 events.

Via Metro:

Capital One Arena is accessible via Metro at the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro stop on the Red, Green and Yellow lines and is within walking distance of the Judiciary Square, Metro Center and Archives-Navy Memorial Penn Quarter stations.

Ronald Reagan National Airport

    Take the George Washington Memorial PKWY North
    Take the I-395 North exit towards Washington
    As the road splits, bear left onto US-1 and follow to 14th Street Bridge
    Cross over the 14th Street bridge and stay on 14th Street NW
    Make a right turn onto Constitution Ave. NW
    Turn left onto 7th Street NW and Capital One Arena will be on the corner of F and 7th Streets NW


Washington Dulles International Airport

    Turn onto the Dulles Access Road
    Dulles Access Road turns into I-66 East
    Continue onto US-50 East/I-66 East
    Take the US-50 East/Constitution Ave. NW exit
    Stay straight to go onto Constitution Ave. NW
    Turn left onto 7th Street NW and Capital One Arena will be on the corner of F and 7th Streets NW


Baltimore-Washington International Airport

    Follow Airport exit
    Turn slight left onto I-195 West
    Take the MD-295 South (Balt/ Wash Pkwy) ramp towards Washington
    Merge onto 295 South towards Washington
    Merge onto US-50 West
    Continue on 50 West as it turns into New York Avenue NW
    Turn left on 6th Street NW and Capital One Arena will be on the corner of F and 6th Streets NW


From points South/Richmond, VA:

    Follow I-95 North towards Washington
    Take the I-395 North exit towards Washington
    As the road splits while approaching the 14th Street bridge, bare left onto US-1 and follow to 14th Street Bridge
    Cross over the 14th Street bridge and stay on 14th Street NW
    Make a right turn onto Constitution Ave. NW
    Turn left onto 7th Street NW and Capital One Arena will be on the corner of F and 7th Streets NW
