Kuanas Zalgirio Arena

Kuanas Zalgirio Arena

Žalgiris Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the New Town of Kaunas, Lithuania. The arena is located on an island of the Nemunas River and is the largest indoor arena in the Baltics. The arena's maximum possible seating capacity for basketball games is 15,450, and 20,000 spectators for concerts (when the stage is in the middle, and 17,000 when stage is in the side of the arena). The Žalgiris Arena replaced the Kaunas Sports Hall as a major venue in the city.

During big events the parking lot next to Zalgirio Arena is closed off and is reserved only for accredited organizers, participants, buses, VIP Skybox renters and a limited number of guests who have pre-purchased the parking pass on the ADC parking system. We recommend taking public transport to reach the arena.

Public Transport

To avoid cues and traffic, we recommend using public transportation to reach the. The arena is a mere 10-to-15-minute walk from the following bus: Gedimino St., Studentų Skveras or Griunvaldo St.

After the events, we offer a special Zalgirio Arena bus service, marked ŽA. There are 6 separate bus routes on offer: ŽA2, ŽA3, ŽA4, ŽA5, ŽA6 and ŽA7, that all head towards different areas of the city. The bus trip on the ŽA bus costs the same as using a regular city bus service, and you can also use the e-tickets as per usual.
