The much-anticipated debut single “Summer Rain” and self-titled debut album by Matthew Morrison will be released by Mercury Records on May 30th 2011. Fans will also get to see the ‘Glee’ star in action on his first ever UK tour, kicking off in June 2011.
Matthew Morrison tour dates include performing at prestigious venues in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Brighton and London, Matthew will be showcasing tracks from his hotly anticipated self-titled album, plus a variety of ‘mash ups’ from popular ‘Glee’ songs

“Summer Rain” is the first track from Morrison’s upcoming debut album, which features duets with the legendary Sir Elton John and Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow. The self-entitled album ‘Matthew Morrison’ is launched following the global success of Glee and Matthew’s role as Glee club leader, Will Schuester.
Californian born Matthew Morrison is best known to millions as the eternally optimistic high school teacher and de facto glee club director, Will Schuester, on the FOX television network’s runaway hit comedy series “Glee.” The show ranks as the #1 entertainment program on broadcast television among Adults 18-34, Teens and Female Teens.
Matthew has been nominated for Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe awards, and shared the 2009 SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Award for Best Performance by an Ensemble in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical, for “Glee.”
Matthew is no stranger to musical theatre, vocal performance and dance, which he studied at New York University’s renowned Tisch School of the Arts. His first big Broadway break came as heartthrob Link Larkin in the hit Hairspray. Matthew was later nominated for a Tony Award for his role in The Light in the Piazza. He received a Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Musical for 10 Million Miles. Morrison also starred in the Tony Award-winning revival of South Pacific at New York’s Lincoln Center Theater.
